Terms & Conditions

The Fufu Football Cup is a 6-a-side knockout football tournament organised by Fufu / [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] (“Fufu”, “Organiser”, “we”, “us” or “our”).

The tournament may include the following categories:

• Boys — Open
• Girls — Open
• Mixed — Just For Fun

The Organiser reserves the right to modify the event structure, schedule, venue, categories, match timings or operational arrangements where reasonably necessary.

Registration is on a team basis.

Each team may register a maximum of:

• 8 players total — 6 playing + 2 substitutes.

The team captain is responsible for completing the registration of all players on their team.

A registration is considered complete only after:

• Successful payment;
• Completion of required team information;
• Completion of required player information; and
• Acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

The Organiser may reject or cancel a registration where information is incomplete, inaccurate, misleading, fraudulent or otherwise unacceptable.

The Team Captain is the primary representative of the team and accepts responsibility for:

• Completing the team's registration;
• Providing accurate information for every player;
• Ensuring every player is aware of these Terms & Conditions;
• Ensuring every player is eligible to participate;
• Ensuring players arrive on time;
• Ensuring players follow tournament and venue rules;
• Communicating all event instructions to their team;
• Managing their team's conduct;
• Ensuring their players comply with the applicable medical, safety and participation requirements;
• Ensuring all required consent has been obtained for participants below 18;
• Ensuring their team does not field an unregistered player;
• Ensuring their team does not field a player registered with another team.

The Captain may be contacted by the Organiser for all team-related matters and is responsible for communicating relevant information to the team.

Every player must provide accurate and complete information during registration.

Players may be required to provide or present identification, age verification or other documentation requested by the Organiser.

Providing false, misleading or fraudulent information may result in immediate disqualification of the player and/or team.

No refund will be provided in the event of disqualification arising from inaccurate or fraudulent information.

A player may represent only one team during the tournament.

A player who has already participated or been registered for one team may not subsequently participate for another team unless the Organiser expressly approves a change before the applicable squad deadline.

The Organiser’s decision regarding player eligibility shall be final for tournament purposes.

The Fufu Football Cup is a:

Each team consists of:

• 6 players on the field + 2 substitutes.

The tournament may be conducted through knockout rounds such as:

• Quarter Final → Semi Final → Final

The exact fixture structure may be modified depending on the final number of registered teams and operational requirements.

Unless otherwise communicated by the Organiser:

• 6 players play on the field;
• Maximum 8 registered players per team;
• 2 substitutes;
• Rolling substitutions may be permitted;
• No offside;
• Match duration will be communicated by the Organiser;
• Referee decisions during matches are final;
• Knockout matches ending in a draw may proceed directly to a penalty shootout;
• Players must follow referee and tournament-official instructions.

The Organiser reserves the right to amend match rules where reasonably necessary for safety, scheduling, venue restrictions or tournament operations.

The Mixed category is a recreational category designed for participation, fun and community.

Each Mixed team may register up to 8 players.

During play, each team must maintain a minimum of:

The remaining two playing positions may be occupied by either boys or girls.

Each team must therefore have enough eligible players to satisfy the minimum 2 + 2 requirement throughout its match.

The Organiser may verify the gender composition of teams at registration and during the tournament.

Failure to comply may result in the team being prevented from participating or being disqualified.

Participation in football is physically demanding and carries inherent risks, including but not limited to:

• Muscle injuries;
• Sprains;
• Strains;
• Fractures;
• Falls;
• Collisions;
• Head injuries;
• Dehydration;
• Heat-related illness;
• Cardiac events;
• Aggravation of existing medical conditions;
• Other physical injuries or medical emergencies.

Every participant is responsible for determining whether they are medically and physically fit to participate.

Participants must not participate if they know or reasonably believe that doing so would place themselves or others at unreasonable risk.

The Organiser may refuse participation where a participant appears medically unfit, injured, intoxicated or otherwise unable to safely participate.

Each participant accepts responsibility for their own health, fitness, hydration, medication, personal medical requirements and physical condition.

Participants are responsible for carrying any medication, medical device or personal medical item they require, unless otherwise specifically agreed with the Organiser.

Participants must inform the Organiser of relevant emergency information where reasonably necessary for event safety.

The Organiser does not guarantee that medical facilities, doctors, ambulances or emergency services will be available at the venue unless specifically stated.

Where a medical emergency occurs, the Organiser may contact emergency services or the participant’s emergency contact where reasonably necessary.

The Team Captain is responsible for ensuring that every player on their team is aware of their own health and fitness requirements and participates voluntarily.

The Captain must not knowingly allow a player who is visibly unfit, seriously injured, intoxicated or otherwise unable to safely participate to take part.

However, each individual participant remains responsible for their own health and medical decisions.

By participating, each participant acknowledges that football is a contact and physically demanding sport and that participation involves inherent risks.

Participants voluntarily assume the ordinary risks associated with participation in football, including risks arising from:

• Playing;
• Running;
• Tackling;
• Collisions;
• Falls;
• Contact with other participants;
• Contact with football equipment;
• Venue surfaces;
• Weather conditions;
• Spectator or participant activity;
• Ordinary sporting accidents.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to exclude or limit liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.

Participants below the age of 18 must have appropriate parent/legal guardian consent before participating.

The Team Captain is responsible for ensuring that the Organiser receives all required information and consent for every participant below 18 on their team.

For participants below 18:

• Parent/legal guardian details must be provided;
• Appropriate consent must be obtained;
• Emergency contact details must be provided;
• The minor must comply with all tournament and venue rules.

Participants below 18 are required to attend the event with a parent, legal guardian or responsible adult companion, unless the Organiser expressly confirms an alternative arrangement in writing.

The Team Captain is responsible for informing the relevant parent/guardian and ensuring the requirement is understood.

If a participant below 18 arrives without the required parent, guardian or responsible adult companion, the Organiser may refuse participation or require the participant to leave the event.

The Organiser will not be responsible for arranging or providing a companion for a minor.

If a minor or their parent/guardian chooses to attend or participate without complying with the required companion arrangement, they do so at their own responsibility, subject to applicable law and the Organiser’s right to refuse participation for safety reasons.

For participants below 18, the parent/legal guardian remains responsible for:

• Providing truthful information;
• Providing required consent;
• Disclosing relevant medical information;
• Ensuring the minor understands the risks of participation;
• Ensuring appropriate supervision arrangements;
• Ensuring the minor arrives and leaves safely;
• Ensuring the minor follows event rules.

The Team Captain must ensure that the Organiser has the required parent/guardian information before the minor participates.

Participants must not participate while intoxicated or under the influence of alcohol, illegal drugs or any substance that may impair their ability to safely participate.

The Organiser may refuse entry or participation to anyone believed to be intoxicated or impaired.

Such refusal or removal does not create any right to a refund.

Participants are solely responsible for their personal belongings.

This includes, without limitation:

• Mobile phones;
• Wallets;
• Cash;
• Watches;
• Jewellery;
• Bags;
• Football equipment;
• Clothing;
• Electronics;
• Vehicles;
• Keys;
• Personal documents.

Participants should not bring valuables unnecessarily.

The Organiser is not responsible for loss, theft, damage or disappearance of personal belongings, except to the extent liability cannot legally be excluded.

Participants and teams are responsible for damage caused by their intentional, reckless or negligent conduct to venue property, equipment or facilities, subject to applicable law.

Any costs arising from such damage may be recovered from the responsible participant or team where legally permissible.

Football is an outdoor/physical activity and may be affected by weather.

The Organiser may postpone, delay, reschedule, shorten, relocate or modify the tournament due to:

• Rain;
• Waterlogging;
• Storms;
• Lightning;
• Extreme heat;
• Poor ground conditions;
• Unsafe playing conditions;
• Government or venue instructions;
• Any other weather-related safety concern.

The registration/pass will remain valid for the rescheduled date or alternative arrangement communicated by the Organiser, subject to the Organiser’s event policy.

Participants are responsible for checking communications from Fufu regarding any schedule change.

The Organiser shall not be responsible for delay, postponement, modification or cancellation caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:

• Severe weather;
• Natural disasters;
• Flooding;
• Fire;
• Government restrictions;
• Venue closure;
• Civil disturbance;
• Strikes;
• Transport disruption;
• Public health emergencies;
• Security threats;
• Power failure;
• Infrastructure failure;
• Acts of God;
• Any other circumstances beyond the reasonable control of the Organiser.

Where the event is postponed, the Organiser may provide an alternative date or alternative arrangement.

No refund will be provided solely because an event is postponed or rescheduled due to such circumstances, subject always to applicable law.

No refunds will be provided for any reason whatsoever, except where a refund is required by applicable law.

This includes, without limitation:

• Change of mind;
• Personal commitments;
• Work commitments;
• Travel issues;
• Transportation issues;
• Illness;
• Injury;
• Medical condition;
• Family emergency;
• Player unavailability;
• Team withdrawal;
• Player withdrawal;
• Failure to attend;
• Late arrival;
• Missed match;
• Disqualification;
• Suspension;
• Weather postponement;
• Rescheduling;
• Venue changes;
• Match-format changes;
• Fixture changes;
• Failure to qualify;
• Loss in an earlier round;
• Team disagreement;
• Incomplete squad;
• Change of captain;
• Failure to provide required documents;
• Failure to obtain minor consent;
• Failure to bring a required companion;
• Personal circumstances;
• Any other reason for which the participant chooses not to attend or participate.

Purchasing a pass constitutes a commitment to participate and acceptance of this no-refund policy.

If a team withdraws after purchasing its registration:

• No refund will be provided.

The Organiser may, at its sole discretion, allow a replacement team to take the vacant slot.

Any such replacement is discretionary and is not a guaranteed right of the original purchaser.

If a registered player becomes unavailable, the Team Captain may request a replacement before the applicable squad deadline.

The Organiser may approve or reject the replacement.

A replacement player must satisfy all eligibility, registration and consent requirements.

No refund will be provided because a player is unavailable.

Teams must report at the time communicated by the Organiser.

Failure to arrive on time may result in:

• Walkover;
• Match forfeiture;
• Disqualification;
• Removal from the tournament.

No refund will be provided for late arrival or non-attendance.

A participant or team may be disqualified for:

• Fighting;
• Physical aggression;
• Threatening behaviour;
• Abuse;
• Harassment;
• Discrimination;
• Unsportsmanlike conduct;
• Fraudulent registration;
• Fielding an ineligible player;
• Fielding an unregistered player;
• Playing under another player's identity;
• Deliberately providing false information;
• Repeatedly violating tournament rules;
• Serious venue violations;
• Refusal to follow reasonable organiser instructions;
• Any conduct that threatens the safety of participants, staff, officials or spectators.

Disqualification does not entitle the participant or team to a refund.

Participants are expected to respect:

• Opposing players;
• Referees;
• Organisers;
• Venue staff;
• Volunteers;
• Spectators;
• Teammates.

Abusive, discriminatory, threatening or violent behaviour will not be tolerated.

The Organiser may remove any person whose conduct is considered unsafe, disruptive or inappropriate.

Referee decisions made during play are final.

The Organiser’s decisions regarding:

• Eligibility;
• Scheduling;
• Disqualification;
• Player replacement;
• Tournament structure;
• Safety;
• Venue arrangements;
• Operational matters;

shall be final for the purposes of the event, subject to applicable law.

The Organiser may modify the tournament structure if required due to:

• Number of registered teams;
• Venue limitations;
• Weather;
• Scheduling;
• Safety;
• Operational requirements;
• Unforeseen circumstances.

Such changes do not automatically create a right to a refund.

If the event is cancelled rather than postponed, the Organiser will communicate the applicable arrangement to participants.

Where a refund is offered or legally required, it will be handled according to the process communicated by the Organiser.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to remove any mandatory consumer rights or remedies available under applicable law.

The event may be photographed, filmed and recorded.

Participants may appear in:

• Photographs;
• Videos;
• Match footage;
• Interviews;
• Social media content;
• Event aftermovies;
• Promotional campaigns;
• Sponsor content;
• Fufu marketing material.

Participants acknowledge and agree that event content may be used for legitimate event, promotional and marketing purposes, subject to applicable law and any required consent.

For participants below 18, appropriate parent/guardian consent must be obtained through the registration process where required.

Participants may be photographed or filmed interacting with event sponsors or partner activations.

Participants agree to comply with reasonable instructions relating to event content and sponsor activations.

Participation in any sponsor activation is subject to the terms communicated for that activation.

The Organiser may collect information including:

• Name;
• Date of birth;
• Age;
• Gender;
• Email;
• Mobile number;
• Address;
• Emergency contact;
• Jersey size;
• Playing position;
• Team information;
• Consent information;
• Other information reasonably required to operate the event.

This information may be used for:

• Registration;
• Player verification;
• Tournament administration;
• Communication;
• Scheduling;
• Emergency purposes;
• Safety;
• Event operations;
• Legal or regulatory requirements;
• Relevant event communications;
• Marketing where appropriate consent has been obtained.

The Organiser should provide a separate privacy notice explaining applicable data-processing practices and participant rights.

The purchaser and Team Captain are responsible for ensuring all information submitted during registration is accurate and up to date.

The Organiser is not responsible for problems caused by incorrect:

• Phone numbers;
• Email addresses;
• Names;
• Ages;
• Emergency contacts;
• Player information;
• Team information.

Every participant must provide an emergency contact where requested.

The emergency contact should be someone who can reasonably be reached during the event.

For participants below 18, the parent/legal guardian should ordinarily be listed as the primary emergency contact unless otherwise approved.

Participants must wear appropriate football clothing and footwear.

The Organiser may prohibit footwear, equipment, accessories or other items considered unsafe or unsuitable for the venue.

Players must comply with any jersey, bib, shin guard or other equipment requirements communicated before or during the tournament.

The Organiser may prohibit any equipment, accessory or object considered dangerous or inappropriate.

The Organiser’s decision regarding equipment safety will be final for event purposes.

All participants must comply with the rules of the venue.

The Organiser may remove participants who violate venue rules.

Any venue-specific rules communicated before or during the event form part of the participant’s obligations.

The Organiser may conduct reasonable security checks at the venue.

Entry may be denied to persons carrying prohibited items or persons who fail to comply with reasonable security requirements.

No refund will be provided for refusal of entry resulting from violation of event or venue rules.

Participants are responsible for their belongings.

Any lost-and-found items handed to the Organiser will be handled according to the venue’s lost-and-found procedure.

The Organiser does not guarantee recovery or return of lost items.

Illegal drugs, weapons and other prohibited items are not permitted.

The Organiser may refuse entry or remove anyone found carrying prohibited items.

Where appropriate, authorities or venue security may be contacted.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, participants acknowledge that participation in the event involves inherent risks.

Participants agree to take reasonable responsibility for their own safety and conduct and for complying with event rules.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts or limits liability where such exclusion, restriction or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, a participant or Team Captain may be responsible for losses, costs, claims or damage arising from their own:

• Negligence;
• Misconduct;
• Deliberate actions;
• Violation of these Terms & Conditions;
• Violation of venue rules;
• Damage to venue property;
• Fraudulent or inaccurate information.

This does not apply to the extent that applicable law prevents such responsibility from being imposed.

By purchasing the team registration, the Captain confirms that:

• They are authorised to register the team;
• They have communicated these Terms & Conditions to all team members;
• They have obtained all required participant information;
• They have obtained appropriate consent for participants below 18;
• They understand the medical and physical risks of participation;
• They understand the no-refund policy;
• They accept responsibility for coordinating their team;
• They agree to follow all event, venue and tournament rules.

Every registered participant acknowledges that:

• They have voluntarily chosen to participate;
• They understand that football involves physical risk;
• They are responsible for their own health and fitness;
• They will follow tournament and venue rules;
• They will behave respectfully;
• They understand that failure to comply may result in removal or disqualification;
• They understand the event's no-refund policy;
• They agree to these Terms & Conditions.

The purchaser is responsible for ensuring that every player on their team is informed of the applicable rules and requirements.

If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is found to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, that provision shall be modified or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by the laws applicable in India.

Any dispute shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts having appropriate jurisdiction over the Organiser’s applicable place of business, subject to applicable law.
